"Through Fear"

Scripture Reading:
Matthew 10:31 (HCSBO) "Therefore do not fear; you are of more value than many sparrows..."

Devotional Reading:

Scattered throughout the bible are many statements of "Do not be afraid." Most of the time there is a promise associated with the statement, such as: "you are mine," "I am the God of your father Abraham" or "I am with you." Our immunity from fear is not God sending to us a supply of an expendable product called security or bravery, but it is God Himself. We receive immunity by allowing the Holy Spirit to be activated in our lives. God is our security and comforter and lives in us as His children. Yesterday we celebrated the graduations of our seniors, remember back when you were leaving school; the fear of uncertainty.  Believing you had it all together and a plan laid out, but in the back of your mind was fear.  Perhaps today that same uncertainty is lingering...Submit it to the Lord.  God, I keep thinking you will be proud of me if I run my life without bothering you for help. I now realize You are thrilled when I confess my weakness before I try to manage my life. I have been unable to get all this fear out of me. God, please help. I am open to You.
