"Focus or Driven"

Devotional Reading:

With the fact that Mother's Day is completed, what is the focus for most of the free world.  Yes, your right, graduation.  Our focus and attention shifts from thing to thing, object to object, and even place to place.  Wouldn't it be great to have a focus on one thing without it ever shifting or losing direction?  It is easy to admire a neurosurgeon, an Olympic athlete or even a CEO.  They share a common trait; focus.  Focus transcends intelligence, athletic ability or even charisma.  Without focus, these individuals may be interesting at best.  When we develop and earthly focus, we may be successful, but what does that matter in eternity?  If you become more focused on earthly, temporal things, you may miss the prize.  Mother's day, graduations and other celebration are important and needed in our lives, but they are not to be what our life is about.  We are to keep our eyes, focused on Jesus Christ.  If we lose sight of Jesus, we will be off track and led astray.  I pray for those who have lost sight of Jesus through the muddy waters of life.
