"How Much Change"

Scripture Reading:
Job 9:27-28 (HCSB)

If I said, "I will forget my complaint, change my expression, and smile,"I would still live in terror of all my pains. I know You will not acquit me.
Devotional Reading:
When we think of change, of course we think of hope to go with it.  I want you to think of everything we change:  our minds, our clothes, our attitudes, our perspective, our oil, calendars, clocks and the list goes on.  One thing consistent about change is that there is nothing consistent about change it is fluid and and as such always in flux.  In today's' verse, Job says I will change my expression, but it will not get me anything for I am still in terror and still liable.  This generation of change, wants the power and authority of leadership, without the accountability or responsibility.  However, we see in this brief snipet, that the Lord God does not allow us off the hook, simply because we changed our expression.  We must change our heart...Friend it really comes down to changing our outlook to an uplook.  If you are not focused on Him and the things of His kingdom, ask yourself, "what's this all worth"?  No one who builds a house just doesn't start, they first count the cost.  What is it costing you to continue with a negative expression, a downcast attitude and a miserable life.  You can fake a smile.  You can pretend to be happy and you can even fool those around you when it comes to joy, but friend the terror remains.  Without Jesus Christ and a heart change, the pain will only get worse, the fear will be paralyzing and the acquittal will never come.   You will be bound to face the judge and His decree is final.  Of course this could all be mute, by a simple change.  A change from death into life....A change from self to Jesus.  Do you know Him?  Do you love Him?  Are you living for Him?
