Keep the Son in your eyes,
Pastor Ben J Lahay
Who
truly knows the mind of the Lord God? Paul says we can have a mind
like Christ and that indeed having a mind like Christ should be our
attitude, but who really knows? I believe one of the most underrated
verses of Scripture is found in the book of Esther. She is struggling
with going to the king, facing death or just letting her people die.
The above verse comes from Mordecai, "for a time such as this". He
says, "who knows"? How are we to know how and when the Lord God will
use us. Seasons come and go, the weather changes, time changes and the
Word of God tells us for every time there is a season..."There is an
occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven:".
Life regardless of our hurdles goes on. Therefore, as life goes on, we
have to go on. There is no right nor wrong just obedience. Our race is
not won by the swiftest, but rather the one who can persevere. The
Lord does as He pleases. His plan is simple, "to make you prosper".
For some that is not so simple because you get in His way. You want to
stay put, fight change, argue, blame but the word of the day is
obedience. When the Lord is moving, the choice is simple go along or
get run over. Mordecai nails it, "who knows"; but then adds for a time
such as this. We have had a season, but the season is over. The Lord's
direction is a new journey. Look at the words from PCD song, "For a
time such as this , we've been born, we've been blessed. Long before
time began we were in the father's plan. By His blood, by His will, He
would see the dream fulfilled. Yesterday I wrote about "wet blankets"
and the saddest thing about that attitude is you are never walking in
the will of the Lord, but against it when your attitude is bitter.
