Devotional Reading:Do
you ever have the feeling that you’re so busy, major values and
priorities in your life are slipping? This is a sinking feeling—and
bailing water doesn’t help. Time to plug the holes in the boat! Here’s a
short list that might help you evaluate priorities and return to that
which is most important in your life. Not all of these things always
indicate busyness. Sometimes they indicate a lack of discipline or
planning. Sometimes they indicate distraction by lesser things. But if
you’re so busy that these things are falling through the cracks of
life—you’re just too busy. When people are coming to offer you help and
you turn them away, you must believe you have it under control. When
it all falls flat and the "you know what hits the fan, others are right
to rebuke you for your failure. Here they are...You’re too busy if:
1. you have not shared the Gospel with someone recently
2. you have not taken your spouse on a date recently
3. your spouse is unhappy with the time you spend with them
4. your kids have gotten used to you not being there
5. you haven't taught your children a Bible principle today
6. you are feeling run down and wore out
7. you take those around you for granted, especially those who have offered to help you
8. you feel like drowning daily
9. your pride tells you you got it, when your heart says Help!
Keep the Son in your eyes,
1. you have not shared the Gospel with someone recently
2. you have not taken your spouse on a date recently
3. your spouse is unhappy with the time you spend with them
4. your kids have gotten used to you not being there
5. you haven't taught your children a Bible principle today
6. you are feeling run down and wore out
7. you take those around you for granted, especially those who have offered to help you
8. you feel like drowning daily
9. your pride tells you you got it, when your heart says Help!
When you are feeling overwhelmed and over-extended accept the
assistance of those who have reached out to say they can help. Don't
wait for it to blow up in your face because it always does and when it
does you end up getting your feelings hurt, but you must remember you
pushed them away-pride says I got it covered, I can handle it! Reach
out, trust accept and GROW!
Keep the Son in your eyes,
