"Feeling Like a Scrooge"
Scripture Reading:
John 10:10 (HCSB) A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.

Devotional Reading:
Keep the Son in your eyes,
What is your life
like this Christmas season? Are you in turmoil, or feel unloved? Have
you perhaps gotten dumped by the
'love of your life', or a friend that perhaps you thought might become
the 'love' of your life? Life can be terrible at times. But, when
things like this happen right at Christmas, the heart
hurts more than ever. You feel very rejected, perhaps a little
unloveable. Satan is
out there, ready to put a kink in your life. He doesn't care how he
does it. He will even use the 'love of your life' to try and get you in
his clutches! He pushes and pulls, and
tugs, until you feel so bad, you just decide 'what the heck? Nobody
cares, so why should I." But, this is where you are absolutely wrong!! There is
someone who cares deeply. He is Christ Jesus. He came to give you
life, and give it more abundantly. And, this season, more than any
other, is the one in which love means so much
to each of us. The Lord knows how much we, as humans, want to be
approved and to be loved. He is there every moment to provide a love
for you that will not quit, no matter how much you feel unloved. He
wants you to know that you are indeed loved, even when you feel
unloveable, or feel that nobody cares. He will listen to you, and
provide the closeness that you want from an individual. He can give you
peace
in your life that nobody else can, no matter how much they love you.
When God is in control of your life, then love will find a way. You
will feel like a new person. He will never deceive you as people do.
When He says something, He means it. So, if
you have a 'humbug' in your life this Christmas season, drop the humbug
with the Lord, and let Him share His love with you. Life will never be
the same.
Keep the Son in your eyes,
